In 1993, I began a journey that lasted 32 years. I worked in the Design and Exhibition Department of the National Gallery of Art. Our designers created the atmosphere, our carpenters brought their vision to life, and our lighting designers made the room sing. I was responsible for documenting the process and the product of their labor, from mock-ups , preparation, construction, installation, to the finished exhibit.

I have photographed over 400 exhibits ranging in size from one room to 13 rooms . My photographs were used to promote the exhibit and to provide archival documentation.
